Our History |
We believed that there was a need for teaching and sharing our authentic Mexican folklore to the public, since there are several groups performing and sometimes distorting the Mexican folklore, by just putting a dress, moving the skirts, playing Mexican music and dancing on the stage without a real knowledge or preparation on how to dance Mexican folklore... and sadly the audience didn't know the difference, this is why she founded “Viva la Danza” in 2007, an Authentic Mexican folklore Dance School, dedicated to promote the Mexican culture and to teach the authenthic Mexican folklore and keep the traditions alive. Their dance teachers are currently members of the National Folklore Dance Teachers Association of Mexico, they attend twice a year a national dance congress in order to keep learning and studying the Mexican Folklore and their culture.
